Through this song, I wanted to build onto the story I started in "An Imperfect Story", where the music was focused on being quietly aware of the rapid transitions in life and the feeling of 'new nostalgia', and dive into the feeling of anxiety.

The title "Every Second Ticks" is quite literally intended to capture the feeling of anxiety as time slips away. Instead of the quiet anticipation in "An Imperfect Story", this song shows the exact moment I started to realize that time is constantly moving forward and my progress is lagging. The piano anchors the structure while sustained vocal-tones and evolving synth textures hold tension without resolving quickly to create a feeling of subtle pressure rather than release.

An earlier version of the track included lyrics, but they were later removed so the music itself could carry the emotion without explicitly stating it. For now—though this may change later—I want to make my music tell it's emotions through sound alone without lyrics. This also lets it remain open to interpretations, which makes it even more powerful imo.
